It has turned off hot and dry after a very wet spring, I have been busy irrigating and switching greens to summer mode. Within the last 10 days the summer production has done a complete 180. We look forward to bringing this deliciousness to our community. We planted pumpkins and they are up and flourishing. We hope to bring these to market this fall. Take care and be safe!
There is nothing like coming out of a long winter and seeing spring do its thing, Unfortunatly this has been a really wet and challenging spring, None the less food is growing and we are working even harder to bring the best to the table. On top of the Covid-19 challenges we have had countless set backs on the new farm. With every set back we are overcoming adversity just like every farmer faces, every. single. year. We are looking bright into the future as summer approaches, in hopes for sunny days and bountiful harvest. See you soon!
We finally got a break in the weather and got to plant on the new plot. We seeded carrots, arugula, mizuna, spinach, green beans, lettuce and radishes. We still have a lot of work to do and planting to be done, but it felt good to finally get food growing.
